The The Kids School Holiday Workshops are back on this January holidays with a bigger and bolder program of fun and educational workshop for kids!

The The Kids School Holiday Workshops are back on this January holidays with a bigger and bolder program of fun and educational workshops for kids!

The workshops cover a range of topics in science, health and research, with the morning sessions suitable for kids aged 5-9 years old and the afternoon sessions suitable for kids aged 10-14 years old.

Each workshop involves practical investigations delivered by one of our very own The Kids researchers. Plus, your kids will get to see a real-life working lab and spend some time exploring the interactive games at our Discovery Centre!

Workshops cost $15 per child and are held at The Kids Research Institute Australia, Perth Children’s Hospital. There are only 10 spaces available for each workshop. With most of the workshops quick to sell out last school holidays, make sure you secure your spot early to avoid disappointment!

Poo and You!

Have you ever wondered how the food we eat travel through our bodies and give us the energy we need? Learn about the different organs that make up our digestive system in this fun and messy workshop where you’ll get to track the journey from food to poo. It’s a rather sticky and slightly gross process – but lots of practical fun! Suitable for ages 5 - 9 years old.

Suitable for ages 5 - 9 years old.

In this workshop, you will get to build and take home your very own lung model to learn about how our lungs work. You’ll also get to make some gooey slime to investigate how scientists are trying to stop slime from damaging the lungs of kids with chronic respiratory illnesses. Suitable for ages 5 - 9 years old.
